Location
Holbrook is a small suburban community located about 18 miles south of Boston. Holbrook offers residents good schools; easy access to shops and restaurants; and a quick commute to Boston with nearby highway access and a commuter rail station right in town (MBTA Holbrook/Randolph Commuter Rail Schedule).
Holbrook Public Schools
The Holbrook Public School System is home to approximately 1,268 students with a 13.2-to-1 student-teacher ratio. Holbrook just built a brand new PK-12 building in 2017. The new building houses both John F. Kennedy Elementary (K-5) and Holbrook Middle/High School (6-12). Holbrook offers a variety of diverse restaurants including The Brook Kitchen and Tap, Donahue’s Pub, Lucky’s 777 Bar and Grill, the Connection Café, New T’s Café, New Golden Pacific, Cafe Asia, and Everything Jerk (a popular and unique option that serves Authentic Jamaican Cuisine). Holbrook also has a number of great pizza options including PizZing’s Holbrook, Sara’s Pizza Palace Holbrook, South Pizza, Corner Grill N Pizza, and Brookville House of Pizza. And, there are two popular ice cream spots in Holbrook- Stanney’s Ice Cream & Sandwich and Cold Stone Creamery/Planet Smoothie.
Things to Do
Holbrook residents can enjoy time outdoors at Holbrook Town Forest, Brookville Playground, and Sumner Field Park. Families love visiting Nihtila Farm for hayrides and pick-your-own pumpkins each Fall. Holbrook also offers a variety of youth sports programs, candlepin bowling at Union Street Lanes, and story/craft time at the Holbrook Public Library.
