Take a Day Trip to Boston!

Lindo-Realty-Group-Day-Trip-to-Boston

With stops all along the South Shore, the MBTA Commuter Rail is a quick and easy way to make a day trip into Boston. We took the Kingston/Plymouth train into South Station a few months ago. We went on off-hours and the train was empty. It was a quick 20-minute ride from the South Weymouth Station.

The North End, Faneuil Hall Marketplace, the Seaport, and Chinatown are all within walking distance from South Station. We like to walk around, shop, look at the outdoor art exhibits, and sample a variety of culinary treats while we are there.

Last time we walked the Greenway and had pizza and cannolis in the North End.  At some point this winter we are hoping to make a trip into the Seaport to try the free SNOWPORT Curling, visit the Institute of Contemporary Art/Boston (ICA), which is free on Thursday nights from 5-9 pm, and check-out the Igloo Bar at The Envoy Hotel.

This post is the fourth and final in our Winter Activities Series. Be sure to check out the others: Things to Do on the South Shore for February VacationGet Outside!
