Thinking of moving? East Bridgewater is a great choice for families! I was born and raised in East Bridgewater. My husband is also from East Bridgewater and we met in school. After finishing college and opening a business in the North Shore, my husband and I decided to move back to town to raise our 3 kids. It was a great decision for us!
East Bridgewater Schools
We have 3 kids in 2 of the schools currently...grades 6,4 and 2. We took advantage of the town's pre-k program which we really enjoyed and have been very impressed by the school system, in general, for all of our kids. Our elementary school (Central Elementary School) is pre-k through grade 2, Gordon W. Mitchell Middle School is grades 3-6 and the East Bridgewater Jr./Sr. High School is grades 7-12.
There a big sense of community in the schools and in the town. They really do a great job keeping people connected through activities and sports.

Favorite Family Activities in East Bridgewater
One of the town's most famous business is Skinner's Sugar House (est in 1916) which is known for their candy, chocolates and ice cream. Located next door is our town library which offers wonderful programs for kids and community. The center of town is super cute and packed with businesses and restaurants which are walking distance to all of the schools and playgrounds.
If you're looking for an adventure, Sachem Rock Farm has really great recreational trails for walking and exploring. Sachem Rock also holds a community garden for its residents to grow and maintain.
CN Smith Farm is a well-known family-owned farm in town that has been operating for over 80 yrs. They have a retail shop, sell produce and plants and have lots of seasonal activities for all. Families enjoy picking fruits from their orchards, Fall hayrides and their famous cider & donuts. My kids love their PYO apples, PYO pumpkin hayride and getting warm cider donuts. We never miss it!
Favorite East Bridgewater Restaurants
We are fortunate to have many great options for dinning and takeout. Some of our favorites are:
Mockingbird Restaurant & Martini Lounge - For date night or girls' night out, we really enjoy Mockingbird Restaurant & Martini Lounge. They have great apps, dinner selections and a huge selection of signature martinis. The atmosphere is really pretty and have a beautiful outdoor space as well as a gorgeous function/ballroom.
Fiesta Mexican Restaurant - When we take the kids out, no one can beat Fiestas! They are very family-friendly and always so accommodating for dine-in or takeout. They recently made great adjustments and even built a new outdoor space for dining.
Perfectly Flavah'd Cafe - Our favorite takeout spot is Perfectly Flavah'd Cafe. They are newer in town and have done an amazing job with their menu. They have some many specials, prepared foods, pizza, salads and even make smoothies and smoothie bowls which my kids love. Many healthy, but flavorful, options for everyone!
