Waterfront Dining on the South Shore

With patio seating looking out over the Cohasset Harbor, Olde Salt House offers indoor and outdoor waterfront dining. Their menu is smaller and consists mostly of classic New England seafood. They serve craft cocktails as well as a collection of wines and beers. Dress is casual. If you do not want to eat at the Old Salt House, they also offer take-out.
Bay Pointe Waterfront Restaurant
Bay Pointe is an upscale seafood restaurant in Quincy, featuring a seaside deck, bar, and cocktail lounge. The restaurant serves lunch and dinner along with Sunday Brunch. While the menu alone is enough to satisfy any seafood foodie, the chef also offers a special “Bay Pointe Fish Market Menu”. Every summer on the deck, Bay Pointe serves seasonal tapas. At the bar and lounge, they have craft cocktails and a collection of fine wines. Dress is a bit more formal. On the 4th of July, Bay Pointe is hosting a special viewing party for Quincy’s fireworks, so be sure to check that out!

Alma Nove is a classy Italian, waterfront restaurant located in Hingham Shipyard. Founded by the Wahlberg brothers, the chef’s serve lunch and dinner in the expansive dining area, and signature cocktails and martinis at the bar and rooftop lounge area. The menu features a wide selection of pastas, seafoods, and chops that are cooked to perfection on a wood-burning grill. If you would rather stop at Alma Nove for cocktails, then you can enjoy the views of Hingham Harbor from the rooftop lounge. If you want a lighter bite with those cocktails, then Alma Nove will serve you miniature versions of menu items.
Located in Scituate, the Mill Wharf serves American seafood on a deck and dining room overlooking the beautiful Scituate waterfront. You can enjoy your meal while watching boats drive in and out of the harbor or sit inside and enjoy drinks and appetizers at the bar. In addition to seafood, the Mill Wharf has excellent brick-oven pizza, and if you care to stay for dessert, they also have the world’s best mud pie.
Jake’s Seafood Restaurant in Hull serves some of New England’s best seafood. Families can enjoy an expansive menu of fish, lobsters, seafood pastas, and fish sandwiches while sitting out on a deck overlooking Hull’s waterfront. If you love the restaurant, be sure to check out Jake’s Retail Seafood Market, and bring a little bit of Jake’s home with you.
At ReelHouse Marina Bay, is a seafood restaurant on the Quincy waterfront, where you can take in the ocean views and Boston skyline from the outdoor patio. Chef Marc Orfaly is widely considered one of the best in Boston, and at ReelHouse Marina Bay, he is serving up New England seafood with an international twist. The food is expensive, and the restaurant calls for a more formal dress. They regularly offer lunch and dinner, along with weekend brunch and a late-night menu on Friday’s and Saturday’s. Their bar serves tropical cocktails every night until 1 a.m.
North End Italian food and Cape Cod seafood blend together at Victory Point Bar and Grill. Victory Point, located right on the Marina Bay Boardwalk, is open for lunch and dinner. The menu includes appetizers, salads, pastas, seafood, pizzas and sandwiches; and there is a special brunch menu on Sundays. They offer a large drink menu with beer, wine, spiked seltzers, and specialty cocktails. Whatever you order, be sure you save room for Donato’s Gelato for dessert. There’s indoor and outdoor seating available. Regardless of where you sit, you will have beautiful views of the water. Victory Point is the perfect spot to sit back, relax, and watch the boats cruise by.
The East Bay Grille provides a formal dining experience on Plymouth’s waterfront. Customers have their choice of seafoods, pastas, steaks, sandwiches, chowder, etc., all crafted to the highest quality. Guests can choose to sit in the dining room, at the bar, or out on the waterfront patio. For drinks, the East Bay Grille has a collection of fine wines and specialty cocktails. The dress code is business casual, with no hats after sundown, and no sleeveless shirts allowed for men. Occasionally, the East Bay Grille hosts live musicians, but there are no performances lined up for the summer.
The Trident Gallery and Raw Bar offers American food and seafood with a slight international twist. You can sit inside, or at the outdoor patio where they can look out over the Hingham Shipyard. They serve lunch and dinner throughout the week, and then brunch and dinner on the weekends. At the bar, Trident has a collection of whites, reds, rose, draft beer, and craft cocktails. Dress is casual.
T.K.O. Malley’s is an Irish Pub overlooking Scituate Harbor. Come enjoy classic pub food while dining on the heated outdoor canopy. The menu also has to-go platters of salads and chicken, some of which can serve more than 20 people. At the bar, T.K.O. Malley’s has craft cocktails, Irish whiskey, and much more. Be sure to go down and check out SINGO Music Bingo Tuesdays from 6-8 pm, and Wicked Team Trivia Thursdays, 8-10 pm! T.K.O Malley’s is open from Mondays- Saturdays at 11:30 pm- 1:00 am, and Sundays at 11:00 am-1:00am.
