Ames Nowell State Park is one of our favorite outdoor spots in Abington! Located on Linwood Street, with plenty of parking.
The park is open daily from sunrise to sunset, and leashed dogs are welcome.
Cleveland Pond is popular with boaters and fisherman. If you're looking to stay dry, now that the weather is a little cooler, there are several miles of walking trails along the pond edge and surrounding woods.
Trails are a mix of paved and dirt, with many winding through the peaceful woods. Families will love the smaller paved trail for pushing strollers or letting little ones scoot or bike.
There are also several picnic tables if you’d like to pack a lunch and make an afternoon of it.
We’re thrilled to have this slice of nature in Abington and enjoy walking our dogs there when we can. Find more details and a trail map of Ames Nowell State Park at www.mass.gov/locations/ames-nowell-state-park.
